Day 16

Today we woke up ready to go and learn about the beautiful ancient City of David. We walked through the underground water tunnels in the City of David, which were used thousands of years ago to bring water to the city. After, we cooled ourselves off with refreshing drinks like ice café, which were well needed on the hot day. Next, we went on the bus and headed to a Jewish fair where we met a lot of other TJJ kids and learned about gap year programs in Israel. There, we listened to Racheli Frankel talk about her son, who was kidnapped and killed by terrorists in 2014. We then went to the famous Ben Yehuda street and went shopping in all the stores, buying lots of souvenirs. We also got drinks from Cofix. From there, we walked to the Jewish Quarter in the Old City, and got coupon dinner (yum!) After dinner, we went back to the City of David and watched an amazing light show. Goodnight!
